Cold Coffee 01:57
Your coffee's getting cold As you wonder how it tastes In some other place Just imagine what it's like Once you finally make it there And breathe the air You gotta make You gotta make comparisons Do you know Do you really know enough? Lost in all of your daydreams But they all romanticize What's out of sight You wanna find out for yourself Leave those guessing games behind For peace of mind You wanna know You wanna know exactly when Can you wait Can you wait until then?
2.
Vanity plates Decoded long ago, of course you'd know When they pass you every day Further proof There's nothing left to see in this city But it can't be further from the truth There's much you've yet to learn You're overconfident in your assessment And hiding your concern The question for you Is it arrogance or bitterness That informs your point of view? 'Cause you've seen them all go Pack their bags and leave You're still here With your disbelief Vanity plates Decoded long ago, of course you'd know
3.
Look at the sea of tranquility And maybe, you just might see me A distant place, just out of reach Just beyond familiar gravity Perspective is just what I need There is no better place to be A static face, a solid state Moving on a simple path in space A barren sea for miles around Home to not a single sound No oxygen in this atmosphere But I know there are no secrets here And from the blue, a voice or two Reaching out to this quiet moon Signal's cutting in and out But I know what it's all about Frequencies will go so far Getting lost in a sea of stars And I just want to stay For a little while

about

"Like a cup of black coffee, New Hampshire’s Zero Front keeps things quite simple but oh so good. In his new EP, Static Faces, the singer/songwriter/loop perfectionist mixes clean electric guitar strums with modernist sound loops that create an environment fit for both an existential contemplation or escapism rejecting the former idea. “Cold Coffee” is groovy, with sustained sounds like robots conversing. Where “Vanity Plates” is as serene as a walk among a familiar place, “Sea of Tranquility (The Moon Song)” is the wrong turn that ends up being not the wrong turn, almost psychedelic in its slow nature. Zero Front has created a piece of work that feels like it was meant to belong only to him but has accidentally become something for all to enjoy and understand." - Rene Cobar, The Deli
